This set of 3 totems is handcarved in buffalo bone and wood and comes from the island of Sumba in Indonesia.
The totems are called Tun Tun and have since ancient times been considered a powerful talisman that farmers would bring it to the fields, guiding them to get a good crop. It was also used to protect one’s house, placed in the corners of the roof.

The set comes complete on black metal stands and their story printed out for you inside a beautiful envelope. Being artisan crafted, every piece is an original, showcasing the natural beauty of the materials with organic imperfections. The handmade metal supports carry their own authenticity, with subtle imperfections and the potential for a natural patina to emerge over time.
